COVID-19 Update at Bakerman Cake Design

In these uncertain times, we wanted to keep you updated with what we are doing here at Bakerman Cake Design to support you and your upcoming events.

 

As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, I am doing everything I can to provide maximum flexibility and help you move forward with a course of action.

 

At this stage we are still running at full capacity, business as usual with the exception of all cakes now being delivery only. Being a food business our level of hygiene has always been extremely high so there isn’t much we are changing, hands will still be washed constantly and all work space area regularly sanitised. I myself am not making any unnecessary trips to try and minimise the chance of me catching the virus with the majority of my stock now ordered online. Unless I have an incident of illness personally or in my immediate family I fully expect this to continue.

I understand that you may feel more comfortable cancelling or rescheduling your event and I assure you, I am here to help you make those adjustments as stress-free as possible.

I understand the need for increased flexibility with event planning right now. To assist in these decisions, I have added the following options:

• Postpone - If you would like to postpone your event, please contact me AT LEAST 14 DAYS PRIOR so we can make adjustments to our schedule. Once we have passed the 14 days before your event I will have started work on your order and can only carry forward the balance less any work already completed (this will include my time as well as materials ordered that we cannot store for your new date). Please keep in mind that the sooner you can let us know the better as the closer it gets to your date the more work I will have already completed. Please note this does not apply to any orders placed (with a deposit paid) after the 1st April 2020.

If you are not sure of when you would like to re-schedule, do not worry. I will hold on to any payments made and will work with you to make new dates work to the best of my ability (availability permitting).

• Cancellations - If you would like to cancel please note that any payments already made are non-refundable, and that the cut off for cancellations without full payment needing to be paid is 14 DAYS prior to delivery.

After this time full payment will need to be made even if a cancellation is made last minute.

We will still be taking orders for both Weddings and Celebration cakes however will be unable to arrange any consultations until after the lock down has been lifted. We are able to send out sample boxes if you would prefer to taste our cake before you book. Please contact us for more information. Please bare in mind that the vast majority of our 2020 brides have rescheduled for 2021 so our diary is filling up faster than usual. Please don't leave it too late to get in touch.
